Dott
Growing tourist use in a saturated urban market
Dott wanted to become more appealing to international tourists in Paris, in a context of strong competition in the urban mobility market and real challenges around local visibility. The objective: turn visitors' spontaneous interest in electric scooters into immediate sign-ups and real journeys, while consolidating the image of a solution that is green, modern and easy to use. Bonne Idée designed and ran an activation mixing physical presence on the ground with targeted digital marketing. The approach concentrated on the busiest areas, Opéra, Trocadéro and the Champs-Élysées, in order to catch tourist traffic at the moment most likely to convert. The experience was designed to remove friction: simplified onboarding, geolocated QR codes, dedicated promotional offers and a multilingual welcome, reinforced by targeted digital communication in partnership with hotels and tourism operators.
A local acquisition strategy with immediate results
The campaign produced fast, measurable results: 20 per cent more sign-ups within a week, 15 per cent more use by tourists in the activated areas, and a notable gain in visibility with an international audience. The initiative helped strengthen Dott's image as a company committed to sustainable urban mobility, while demonstrating the effectiveness of an approach combining physical presence, digital marketing and local partnerships. The project shows how a targeted activation and a frictionless user experience can speed up adoption of a light mobility service and turn spontaneous interest into real use, particularly in highly competitive urban environments.
