The first question: do you really need an application?
We always ask it, and the answer is often no. A website designed properly for the phone covers most needs, with no store to go through, no installation to persuade anyone of, no approval at every update.
What justifies an application
The need to work offline. Notifications that must arrive even when the application is closed. Access to the phone’s hardware: camera, location, sensors. And repeated, daily use, where the icon on the home screen changes the return rate. Without one of those four points, a website is enough.
The decisive advantage
FlutterFlow produces Flutter code you can export. If the project grows and a developer takes over, they start from what exists. That is the major difference from tools you can only leave by rebuilding.
What is always underestimated
Publication on the stores. Developer accounts, listings, screenshots, privacy policy, approval delays, occasional rejections for obscure reasons. It is not technical, it is administrative, and it takes weeks the first time. We take care of it.
After launch
An application is not finished when it is published. The stores impose regular technical updates, failing which the application ends up removed. That is a recurring cost to plan for in the initial budget.
