Why we work in Figma

It is not a question of tool quality. It is a question of access: a link you open in a browser, on any system, with no installation and no licence to view. On a project where the client approves, that difference decides everything.

When we do work in Sketch

When your team already uses it, is equipped and has no wish to change. Imposing a tool on a team that works is a bad idea, and we adapt.

Taking over a Sketch file

That is the most frequent case: a former supplier delivered sources and nobody knows what to do with them any more. We start with the inventory, because a file built up over three years mostly contains abandoned screens.

What is lost in the migration

Prototypes and their interactions are rebuilt. Some plugins have no equivalent. We list those points before starting rather than discover them along the way.

The advice we give

Do not migrate for the sake of migrating. Wait for your next design change and make it directly in the new tool: you pay once instead of twice.
