Introduction

Transforming an urban passage into an act of generosity

To raise awareness about food waste and facilitate access to food aid, N26 and ANDES, the first network of solidarity grocery stores in France, have launched an unprecedented initiative: #LeReDistributeur, a bank vending machine hijacked to allow citizens to donate in a few seconds. Located at Saint-Lazare station, one of the busiest places of passage in Paris, the objective was to make solidarity visible, intuitive and immediate; by transforming an everyday gesture into a positive social contribution. Bonne Idée contributed to the design of this immersive experience by combining interactive design, fluidity of use and simplified digital access (QR code and mobile application). Activation was designed to arouse emotion, encourage action and create a spontaneous commitment to food solidarity.

Strong citizen mobilization and a measurable social impact

The operation aroused real enthusiasm as soon as it was launched: in three days, more than 2,500 interactions were recorded, with a conversion rate of around 40% between visitors and contributors. The installation generated strong media and digital visibility, while strengthening the image of both partners as actors involved in concrete solidarity initiatives. Beyond the numbers, this activation demonstrates the ability to design citizen experiences with a strong emotional and social impact, by mobilizing technology, design and responsible communication. It illustrates how innovative use can encourage solidarity behaviors and pave the way for new forms of inclusive generosity.
