Health mobilization plan and operational communication for Deliveroo deliverers

Ensuring the continuity of service and the safety of delivery workers in crisis situations
In the context of the health crisis, Deliveroo Rider Services needed to strengthen the information, support and mobilization of its network of independent delivery drivers, in order to guarantee the continuity of the service while ensuring compliance with new health and safety standards. The main challenge lay in the ability to quickly disseminate clear and actionable guidelines to a large, mobile and geographically dispersed network, while maintaining the trust and commitment of riders. Bonne Idée has deployed a communication strategy combining field actions and digital distribution in real time. Dedicated ambassadors, educational kits, targeted messages and operational guidance systems made it possible to align practices, ensure the adoption of measures and respond to network questions in an emergency context.
Fast adoption and a replicable emergency communication model
Fast adoption and a replicable emergency communication model
In four weeks, 90% of delivery workers were made aware of the new procedures and 85% adopted health protocols, helping to reduce operational incidents related to the crisis. The initiative strengthened the relationship between the platform and its deliverers by demonstrating the ability to support an independent network in a context of uncertainty, through structured, accessible and responsive communication. This intervention constitutes a reproducible model for large-scale critical communications, combining operational information, field proximity and digital coordination in a network.
